VOCPhone for Moving companies

Everyone books a mover by phone. Nobody in your truck can answer one.

Moving is quoted on the phone and delivered with both hands. The whole crew, including you, spends the day carrying furniture up stairs, which is exactly when people ring to book next weekend.

Said out loud on every job

You have said at least four of these this month

These are what happens when the sales team and the labour are the same four people.

01

The whole business is carrying something

There is nobody left behind to answer. When the trucks are out the phone is on its own, and it rings all day.

The agent answers every call and quotes from your rate structure.
02

Quoting needs a checklist, not a chat

Bedrooms, stairs, lift access, distance, pianos, parking. Get one wrong and you either lose money or lose the job.

The same complete checklist on every call, without fail.
03

Weekends are when people ring and when you work

Saturday is your busiest working day and your busiest enquiry day at the same time.

Weekend enquiries answered and booked without pulling anyone off a truck.
04

Dates are everything and get confused

Settlement dates, lease starts, key handovers. A date taken down wrong is a catastrophe, not an inconvenience.

Details confirmed back to the caller and recorded, so the date is exactly what was said.
05

Cancellations leave holes

A cancellation two days out is a lost day unless someone rings the waitlist, and nobody has time.

Outbound AI agents can work the waitlist and refill the slot.
06

You cannot tell where the good jobs came from

Interstate moves and office relocations are worth many times a small local job, and you have no idea which advertising produced them.

Every call logged and summarised by job type and source.
Watch one get saved

7:40pm. The truck is back. The booking is not lost.

This is the call that used to ring out. Here it is answered by a VOCPhone AI phone agent, from what you told it about your business.

It sounds like it is from here. Genuine Australian accents, not a call centre and not a robot reading a script.
It runs your full quoting checklist. Rooms, stairs, lift access, distance, parking and anything oversized.
It quotes and holds the date. So the caller has a price and a Saturday, not a promise of a callback.
It confirms in writing. Dates, addresses and inclusions by SMS, which is where most disputes start.

AgentGood evening, thanks for calling. The crews have finished for the day, but I can quote this now. Where are you moving from and to?
CallerFrom a two bedroom unit in Ashfield to a house in Ryde.
AgentThanks. Is the unit on the ground floor, and is there lift access if not?
CallerFirst floor, no lift. Stairs only.
AgentGood to know, that changes the crew size. Anything unusually heavy, like a piano or a large fridge?
CallerJust a big fridge. We were hoping for Saturday week.
AgentThat is three movers and a truck, and Saturday the 9th is available. I have held it and texted you the quote and inclusions.
What happened after the trucks came back
  • Full checklist completed: rooms, stairs, lift, distance, heavy items
  • Crew size and truck matched to the job before quoting
  • Saturday held and confirmed by SMS with inclusions in writing
  • Job and transcript in your system ready for dispatch
The number nobody tracks

Your truck is empty next Saturday because nobody answered on Tuesday

A removals business is a calendar with wheels. Empty days are not caused by a lack of demand, they are caused by calls that rang out while everyone was lifting.

1Movers are chosen in one sitting. People ring three companies in a row and book the one that answers with a clear price and a date.
2Your quoting window is your working day. People ring about moving during business hours, which is when your entire workforce is inside a truck.
3Empty days cannot be recovered. An unbooked Saturday is gone forever. Unlike stock, you cannot sell it next week.
One number, sorted by job type

An interstate relocation should not queue behind a two hour local job

Publish one number. Behind it, quotes get taken and priced, jobs in progress reach dispatch, and the AI agent catches every call your crews cannot.

Trading peaks

Everybody in Australia moves in the same eight weeks

Removals demand is savagely seasonal. Lease cycles and the pre Christmas rush stack up, and the weeks with the most enquiries are the weeks every one of your crews is already committed.

An AI agent absorbs that. It quotes and books at any hour, refills cancellations, and stops peak enquiries going to a competitor who simply had somebody free.

Your phone should know which move is calling

VOCPhone connects to more than a thousand apps and offers open APIs, so a call arrives with a customer attached to it rather than just a number.

Why VOCPhone

Straight answers

The questions removalists ask us first

Can it actually quote a move?

It can, because removals quoting is a checklist and a rate structure, which is exactly what an AI agent does consistently. Rooms, floors, stairs, lift access, distance, parking and oversized items, then your pricing applied the same way every time.

For anything unusual, like a piano or a difficult access job, it captures the detail and flags it for a human before the quote is final.

Can it hold a date, or does someone have to call back?

It holds the date. That is the difference between winning the job and being one of three quotes. It can hold a provisional slot against a crew and truck, confirm by SMS, and release it if the customer does not proceed.

It can also refuse to double book, so you never end up with two jobs and one truck.

Can it help refill a cancellation?

Outbound AI agents can work through your waitlist and call people back, which is how a cancelled Saturday becomes a booked Saturday instead of a lost day.

Responses come back into your system so dispatch sees the change without anybody making twenty phone calls.

What happens when the AI cannot help?

It hands over, and you decide where. Damage claims, insurance and anything about a completed move can go to a person, a queue, or a manager's mobile.

The caller does not repeat themselves either. Whoever picks up gets the context the agent already gathered. Outside hours it takes the details, texts a confirmation and queues the callback.

What difference does owning the network actually make?

Most providers resell somebody else's switch, which means when something breaks they raise a ticket with a wholesaler and wait, exactly like you would. VOCPhone built and runs its own Australian network, so we fix it ourselves.

It is also why we can put a number on uptime and offer a price match. There is no reseller margin stacked in the middle of your bill.

Do we have to change our phone number?

No. Number portability is standard, including 1300 and 1800, so the number on your trucks, your quotes and years of online listings stays exactly as it is.

We port it across and plan the cutover around your hours, not ours.

What happens if the internet drops?

Calls keep flowing. The mobile app works over 4G and 5G, so your people answer on their handsets while a site connection is down, and flows can divert to mobiles automatically.

We also supply NBN, so the connection and the phone system can come from one provider on one bill. When it is all ours, there is nobody to point at.
